Voluntary Competency-based Credential
A certification is a voluntary, competency-based credential issued on the basis of demonstrating competency in a given subject matter through some form of:
1) Assessment, or a
2) Standardized Test
* Demonstrating Competency means for example such as: Building & Maintaining a computer, computer network or Website or Database
* Given Subject Matter such as: Web Development, Web Design, PC Repair
The word Voluntary means: You volunteer to take such a test but it is not a requirement as in a must or the word must as in meaning required or requirement legally. It is not legally binding.
